At Classync, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We offer refunds in accordance with our payment processor's policies. Before subscribing, we encourage you to try our free tier (3 hours/month) to ensure the service meets your needs.

1. 14-Day Refund Policy

In accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms and Consumer Rights, Classync offers a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of your initial purchase.

Refund Terms

  • 14-Day Window: You may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase
  • No Questions Asked: Full refund guaranteed within the 14-day period
  • First Subscription: The 14-day refund period applies to your initial subscription purchase

Try Before You Buy

  • Free Tier Available: We offer a free tier with 3 hours/month so you can test the service before committing to a paid plan
  • Test All Features: Upload sample lectures to evaluate transcription and summarization quality
  • Try Quiz Generation: Experience the quiz generation feature to see if it meets your needs

2. Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.

How It Works

  • Cancellation Takes Effect: At the end of your current billing period
  • Continued Access: You retain full access until your subscription expires
  • Reactivation: You can reactivate your subscription at any time before expiration

To Cancel Your Subscription

  1. Log in to your Classync account
  2. Navigate to Settings → Subscription
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Follow the confirmation prompts

3. Requesting a Refund

If you are within the 14-day refund period, you may request a full refund.

How to Request a Refund

Contact our support team at classync.sup@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request" and include:

  • Your account email address
  • Date and amount of the charge
  • Transaction ID or receipt (if available)

Processing Time

We will process your refund request within 2-3 business days. All refunds within the 14-day window will be honored.

4. Billing Issues and Support

If you experience a billing error or unauthorized charge, please contact us immediately:

5. Refund Processing

When a refund is processed:

Payment Method

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase
  • We cannot issue refunds to different payment methods or accounts

Timeline

  • Review: 3-5 business days to review refund request
  • Processing: 5-10 business days from approval
  • Bank Posting: Additional 3-5 business days depending on your bank

Account Access

If a refund is processed, your subscription will be cancelled, and you will lose access to premium features. Your account data will be retained according to our Privacy Policy.

6. Disputed Charges and Chargebacks

If you notice an unauthorized charge or billing error:

Please contact our support team before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We can often resolve billing issues quickly and avoid complications. Chargebacks can result in:

  • Immediate account suspension
  • Chargeback fees passed to your account
  • Loss of access to your data and content
  • Difficulty resolving the issue amicably

Unauthorized Charges

If you believe a charge was made without your authorization, contact us immediately at classync.sup@gmail.com with "Unauthorized Charge" in the subject line. We will investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

7. Subscription Plan Changes

If you change your subscription plan (upgrade or downgrade):

  • Upgrades: Charged pro-rated amount for remaining billing period; full price at next renewal
  • Downgrades: Take effect at end of current billing period
  • Paid to Free: Cancellation rules apply; subscription expires at end of period

8. Academic Institutions and Group Plans

For educational institutions or organizations with group plans:

  • Custom refund terms may apply as agreed in your contract
  • Refund requests must be made by the primary account holder
  • Group discounts and bulk purchases may have different terms

9. Consumer Rights and Regional Variations

Our 14-day refund policy complies with international consumer protection standards, including:

  • European Union: 14-day cooling-off period under EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU)

Refunds are processed in the original transaction currency. If exchange rates have changed between purchase and refund, the refunded amount in your local currency may differ from the original charge. We are not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations.

Changes to the refund policy do not affect existing subscriptions purchased before the policy change. The policy in effect at the time of purchase applies to that transaction.
